Non-Toxic Pest Control

I live in an area with termite and, to a lesser extent, roach problems. I have two young children who like to play a lot in the yard so for their health, and environmental health, I\'d like to learn more about non-toxic solutions. Any advice?

I have heard of neem oil applications that are effective on ants. I am also interested in this subject for natural lawn care as pesticides, weed killers etc have been shown to cause leukemia, lung problems etc. Great question!!!
